Love vs. Hate

Hate: to dislike intensely or passionately dislike.

Love: to have a profoundly tender, passionate affection for.

There is a very fine line which separates the two. Both are verbs, actions, something you do.

You give and give, of your energy, of your emotions, of your heart. Where love is involved there is the chance of some return, a feeling of gratification, of fulfillment. But hatred—that is the more exhausting of the two. You get nothing back from hate. It eats away at you, leaving you with even less than what you began with, and no hope of ever getting it back.
